CM PUNK is an American professional wrestler. He is signed with WWE, where he is the reigning WWE Champion. Punk has held the title since November 20, 2011 and is recognized by WWE as the sixth-longest reigning champion of all time, and the longest-reigning since February 1988 (previously, multi-year title reigns had been standard); he was described by the organization in a December 2012 publication as "the longest-reigning WWE Champion in the modern era."
